Principals only.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Full-Time Operator-in-Training<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 A Water System Operator in Training (OIT) performs semi-skilled, technical type tasks, necessary for the daily operation and maintenance of the water system. An OIT must be progressing in water system certification by the PA DEP, and is entrusted with ensuring compliance environmental and public health regulatory compliance with a licensed and fully certified Operator.\u00a0 An OIT works under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, with senior oversight by the Operations Manager. The position requires moderate to heavy physical labor, in cold, hot, wet, indoor &amp; outdoor environments. The selected applicant must possess or be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Driver\u2019s License and will be required to obtain a Commercial Driver\u2019s License (CDL) Class B within 24 months of the date of hire. The position requires rotational shiftwork that includes weekends and responding to emergency calls at night, weekends, and holidays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Desired experience and qualifications for applicants:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">High school graduate, or General Educational Development certificate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two years of work experience or successful completion of a two-year certified program \/ advanced training in water treatment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alternatively, the applicant may demonstrate experience by having passed the Pennsylvania Certified Operator Part 1 \u2013 General Exam.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elizabethtown Area Water Authority is seeking candidates for a Water System Operator-in-Training.\u00a0 This position is subject to a six-month probationary period.
