Principals only.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Full-Time Operator<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 A Water System Operator performs skilled, technical type tasks, necessary for the daily operation and maintenance of the water system. An Operator must be progressing in full water system certification by the PA DEP, and is entrusted with ensuring compliance environmental and public health regulatory compliance.\u00a0 An Operator reports to the Operations Supervisor, with senior oversight by the Operations Manager. The position requires moderate to heavy physical labor, in cold, hot, wet, indoor &amp; outdoor environments. The selected applicant must possess or be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Driver\u2019s License and will be required to obtain a Commercial Driver\u2019s License (CDL) Class B within 24 months of the date of hire. The applicant must demonstrate the ability to lift 50-pound equipment without assistance. The position requires rotational shiftwork that includes weekends and responding to emergency calls at night, weekends, and holidays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Desired experience and qualifications for applicants:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">High school graduate, or General Educational Development certificate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Five years of work experience in water treatment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Current Class B DEP water system certification and possession of Subclassifications 7 (Corrosion Control) and 8 (Chemical Addition).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additional Subclassification certifications will be viewed positively.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elizabethtown Area Water Authority is seeking candidates for a Water System Operator.\u00a0 This position is subject to a six-month probationary period.
