US EPA Public listening session for Consumer Confidence Report Rule Revision: April 26, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>EPA invites the public to participate in a listening session related to the revision of the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) rule revisions on April 26, 2022 (2:00 pm-5:00 pm, eastern time).<\/p>\n

EPA\u2019s Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water will provide a brief introduction of the CCR background and goals of the revision, followed by an opportunity for attendees to offer input on considerations for the revisions.<\/p>\n

Background:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs), or annual water quality reports, are a critical piece of the \u201cright-to-know\u201d rules. The purpose of CCRs is to provide customers with information on drinking water quality and allow them to make health-based decisions on drinking water consumption.<\/p>\n

The original CCR rule was finalized in 1998. The America\u2019s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 (AWIA) amended the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and requires EPA to issue revised CCR regulations.\u00a0 The revisions are intended to:<\/p>\n
