Serves as project manager in his\/her absence. Aids in analyzing and evaluating operating and maintenance procedures of the entire facility including outer-lying stations and offices.\u00a0 Assists in developing new\/improved practices. Maintains operating records, compiles data, and prepares reports. Performs related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Dimensions:<\/u><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Supervises the day to day activities of the existing staff.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Education\/Equivalent<\/u><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HS graduate or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Associates Degree with coursework in water and\/or wastewater treatment, engineering chemistry or biology<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to obtain PA DEP Class B, E; Sub-class 8,10,11,12 Water Operators License and\/or PA DEP Class B, E; Sub-class 1 Wastewater Operators License within 12 months of hire. Ability to obtain both preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Work Experience Needed<\/u><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3-5 yrs experience in utility industry or operation of a water\/wastewater facility<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, biosolids handling, air emissions, laboratory methods, O\/M procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of federal, state and local water and wastewater regulations.<\/li>\n<li>2+ years supervisory experience preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Special Skills\/Abilities Needed<\/u><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of the processes and equipment involved in drinking water and \u00a0wastewater treatment facilities, including basic chemical, bacteriological and biological processes, biosolids handling, air emissions, laboratory methods, O\/M procedures<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of distribution and collection system operation and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of financial controls and measures<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of managerial and administrative practices and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective communications and working relationships<\/li>\n<li>Ability to design, implement, and evaluate training and safety programs.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with MS office and other utility computer programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Nature &amp;
