(Jan. 14, 2021)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Pennsylvania American Water announced today that customers can now report a water outage, leak, or other water emergency online. Eliminating the need to report an emergency by phone, customers can now notify the company through the Pennsylvania American Water\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amwater.com\/paaw\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.amwater.com\/paaw\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1610817485314000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGDoFcJHafNacjwZpTfFEH79mePDA\">website<\/a>\u00a0or through the company\u2019s online customer portal,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wss.amwater.com\/selfservice-web\/login.do\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/wss.amwater.com\/selfservice-web\/login.do&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1610817485314000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFHpMkQBW2uqB8iIeXEvIYqPhUdHw\">MyWater<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe\u2019re committed to providing exceptional customer service and offering a variety of communication channels to meet our customers\u2019 preferences,\u201d said Mike Doran, president of Pennsylvania American Water. \u201cWhen our customers experience a water service outage or other emergency, we know they need to reach us quickly and may not want or be able to pick up the phone. By providing an online platform to report emergencies, customers can notify us of a water service outage or emergency within minutes using their preferred method.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All Pennsylvania American Water customers are encouraged to establish an online account through the company\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wss.amwater.com\/selfservice-web\/login.do\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/wss.amwater.com\/selfservice-web\/login.do&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1610817485314000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFHpMkQBW2uqB8iIeXEvIYqPhUdHw\">MyWater<\/a>\u00a0portal. This platform allows customers to track water usage, see real-time alert notifications for their service area, set up paperless billing, pay bills online, report emergencies and more. By creating a MyWater account, customers can report a water emergency online for their specific residence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even without a MyWater account, anyone can report an emergency that is not at a specific residence, such as a fire hydrant leak or a water main break in the street, through the \u201cReport Emergency\u201d button at the top of the company\u2019s website or at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/emergency.amwater.com\/pre-login\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/emergency.amwater.com\/pre-login&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1610817485314000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHLHQWzDvgioUIJTMlk9W3qRdivDQ\">emergency.amwater.com<\/a>.
