{"id":14617,"date":"2020-11-06T10:57:38","date_gmt":"2020-11-06T15:57:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.paawwa.org\/?p=14617"},"modified":"2021-01-30T23:50:03","modified_gmt":"2021-01-31T04:50:03","slug":"attention-pa-operators-the-one-awwa-operator-scholarship-deadline-is-january-22-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.linnflux.tech\/paawwa\/attention-pa-operators-the-one-awwa-operator-scholarship-deadline-is-january-22-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"ATTENTION PA OPERATORS: The One AWWA Operator Scholarship&#8230;Operators Apply Now!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>ATTENTION PA OPERATORS: The One AWWA Operator Scholarship <strong>The One AWWA Operator Scholarship<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The <strong>One<\/strong> <strong>AWWA<\/strong> <strong>Opera<\/strong><strong>to<\/strong><strong>r<\/strong> <strong>Scholarship<\/strong> is funded through the support of AWWA\u2019s The Water Equation Campaign and the Pennsylvania AWWA Section.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paawwa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/2021-PA-Section_OneAWWAOPScholarship-App-2021-REV-4.pdf\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">2021 PA Section One AWWA Operator Scholarship Application<\/span><\/a><\/h4>\n<p><strong>PURPOSE of AWARD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AWWA\u2019s The Water Equation Campaign and the Pennsylvania AWWA Section, will award the <strong>One<\/strong> <strong>AWWA Operator Scholarship <\/strong>in the amount of <strong>$1,000<\/strong> for Water Operator training and education.<\/p>\n<p>Scholarship award can be used for certification\/licensure, two-year water related associate degree, technical school<\/p>\n<p>program, professional training program, books and manuals, and operator related conferences.<\/p>\n<p>Each scholarship recipient will receive a one-year AWWA Operator membership.<\/p>\n<h4>ELIGIBILITY\/GUIDELINES<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant must be a current water operator or seeking to enter the water operator<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must be pursuing an Operator\u2019s License or Certification, two or four-year degree related to<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>the water operator profession, or professional development.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disbursement of the funds will be made directly by the Section to the financial office of recipient\u2019s college, university, or technical<\/li>\n<li>Items related to books, manuals, conferences, professional development courses, and other eligible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>expenses will be reimbursed to recipient upon presentation of eligible receipts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant must reside or work within the geographical boundaries covered by the sponsoring<\/li>\n<li>Acceptance of scholarship constitutes permission to use recipient\u2019s name and scholarship story for purpose of promotion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please submit the application to Don Hershey, PA-AWWA at <a href=\"mailto:donhershey@paawwa.org\">donhershey@paawwa.org<\/a> or fax to: 717-774-0288.
