Nationally, more than 400 surface water treatment plants are involved in the\u00a0<em>Partnership for Safe Water<\/em>, a voluntary effort that is designed to increase protection against microbial contamination through treatment optimization.<\/p>\n<p>Company officials hosted a recognition ceremony at the Shady Lane facility today to honor the plant\u2019s production and water quality staff for achieving the milestone. The plant is located along the Schuylkill River near Spring City.<\/p>\n<p>On August 8, the company held a similar event to recognize its Clarion Water Treatment Plant team for earning the 10-Year Directors Award from the\u00a0<em>Partnership for Safe Water<\/em>.
